Il ne lui aura pas fallu plus de trois chansons pour enflammer le chapiteau presque plein. Coiff\u00e9 de sa traditionnelle casquette, MC Solaar a ouvert la 45e \u00e9dition de Jazz in Marciac<\/a> ce jeudi soir en entonnant l\u2019un de ses plus grands tubes \u00ab\u2005Qui s\u00e8me le vent r\u00e9colte le tempo\u2005\u00bb. Aussit\u00f4t, la salle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 bouger sur sa chaise, avant, petit \u00e0 petit, de se lever pour danser.<\/p>\n

Sur sc\u00e8ne, le rappeur \u00e9tait accompagn\u00e9 d\u2019une dizaine de musiciens et choristes pour ce concert qui s\u2019inscrit dans sa tourn\u00e9e \u00ab\u2005New Big Band Project\u2005\u00bb. Pendant plus d\u2019une heure, l\u2019artiste a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00ab\u2005un pot-pourri de ses chansons\u2005\u00bb, comme il le d\u00e9crit. \u00ab\u2005Des chansons qui ont un rapport avec le jazz\u2005\u00bb. \u00ab\u2005Victime de la mode\u2005\u00bb, \u00ab\u2005Bouge de l\u00e0\u2005\u00bb ou encore \u00ab\u2005Caroline\u2005\u00bb ont ravi les Gersois qui ont repris, avec le chanteur, les tubes de ses trois premiers albums.<\/p>\n

Pourtant, la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un rappeur en ouverture d\u2019un festival de jazz en a surpris plus d\u2019un \u00e0 l\u2019annonce de la programmation. Mais pour Claude M\u2019Barali, dit MC Solaar, des points communs entre le rap et le jazz, il n\u2019en manque pas. \u00ab\u2005D\u00e9j\u00e0, au d\u00e9but, ces deux styles musicaux \u00e9taient mal vus. Et il y a toujours cette id\u00e9e de lutte\u2005\u00bb. Le rappeur a d\u2019ailleurs \u00e9tabli ce lien dans l\u2019une de ses chansons, \u00ab\u2005A dix de mes disciples\u2005\u00bb\u2005: \u00ab\u2005Si le rap excelle, le jazz en est l\u2019\u00e9tincelle\u2005\u00bb. L\u2019artiste assure aussi avoir toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 influenc\u00e9 par ce style musical et \u00ab\u2005avoir une attitude de jazzman\u2005\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 la moiti\u00e9 du concert, c\u2019est tout le public qui \u00e9tait debout pour chanter, danser et applaudir l\u2019un des premiers artistes \u00e0 avoir popularis\u00e9 le rap en France, au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1990. Pour sa premi\u00e8re participation \u00e0 JIM<\/a>, m\u00eame \u00ab\u2005s\u2019il avait l\u2019impression de conna\u00eetre, parce qu\u2019il le regardait \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9 plus jeune\u2005\u00bb, MC Solaar a encha\u00een\u00e9 ses tubes dans un flow plus m\u00e9lodique et avec des sonorit\u00e9s plus lointaines du monde du rap, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la nouvelle orchestration du directeur musical Issam Krimi.<\/p>\n

Et cette \u00e9dition, plac\u00e9e sous le signe de la libert\u00e9, convenait parfaitement \u00e0 Claude M\u2019Barali, qui fait directement le lien avec le \u00ab\u2005free-jazz\u2005\u00bb. \u00ab\u2005Ils ont bien fait de choisir ce th\u00e8me-l\u00e0 pour cette ann\u00e9e particuli\u00e8re, estime le rappeur. La libert\u00e9, la licence, le fait de ne pas \u00eatre dans un moule, c\u2019est indispensable\u2005\u00bb.<\/p>\n
