Claudine FRAN\u00c7OIS (piano) retrouve John BETSCH (batterie) et Didier FORGET (saxophone), compagnons de longue date et musiciens d’exp\u00e9rience, pour r\u00e9interpr\u00e9ter l’album Flying Eagle. Pianiste talentueuse, musicienne de nombreuses aventures, elle est une artiste aux multiples facettes, jouant dans l’expression de son art tant\u00f4t d’influences africaines et carib\u00e9ennes, tant\u00f4t du courant afro-am\u00e9ricain post-bop, sans renier ses racines europ\u00e9ennes.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Dans les ann\u00e9es 60, ALAN SILVA (contrebasse) fut l’un des deux contrebassistes du combo de Cecil Taylor, celui des c\u00e9l\u00e8bres Unit Structure et Conquistador ! Install\u00e9 en France depuis les ann\u00e9es 70, Alan deviendra l’un des piliers de la sc\u00e8ne free hexagonale durant les trois d\u00e9cennies qui suivront avec, notamment, son Celestrial Communication Orchestra, un big band inoubliable. Il s’est associ\u00e9 depuis quelques ann\u00e9es avec Noah ROSEN (piano), autre \u00e9migr\u00e9 am\u00e9ricain vivant \u00e0 Paris, doubl\u00e9 d’un extraordinaire pianiste, les deux hommes formant un duo au sein duquel Silva joue du synth\u00e9tiseur. Noah, pour sa part, se montre comme toujours sid\u00e9rant. Sous ses doigts, c’est toute l’histoire de l’avant-garde du piano jazz qui d\u00e9file, de Lennie Tristano \u00e0 Andrew Hill, en passant par Taylor et Paul Bley. Mais Noah, c’est, heureusement, beaucoup plus que la somme de ses influences. L’homme est un ma\u00eetre improvisateur, dot\u00e9 d’une technique pianistique stup\u00e9fiante et d’une invention sans limites.
