David Linx au chant, Pierre-Alain Gouarch aux claviers, Diego Imbert \u00e0 la contrebasse et Andr\u00e9 Ceccarelli \u00e0 la batterie. Un album formidable, <em>7000 miles<\/em>. Plus deux hommages \u00e0 Claude Nougaro&nbsp;: <em>Le coq et la pendule<\/em> puis <em>A Nougaro<\/em>. Et puis voil\u00e0 <em>Le jazz et la java, <\/em>qui sort vingt ans apr\u00e8s la mort du chanteur toulousain.<em> <\/em>Des reprises&nbsp;? Pas vraiment. Plut\u00f4t une c\u00e9l\u00e9bration. Et en m\u00eame temps une appropriation. L\u2019album commence avec une des chansons les plus connues de Nougaro, <em>Le jazz et la java<\/em>. On est \u00e9videmment surpris d\u2019abord par la voix de David Linx. On s\u2019attend \u00e0 la voix chaude, \u00e0 la scansion, aux syncopes de Nougaro et on re\u00e7oit la voix sensuelle, fluide, allong\u00e9e de Linx. On ne sait plus tr\u00e8s bien o\u00f9 on est, puis on est s\u00e9duit, on adh\u00e8re, on adore. Linx fait du Linx, pas du Nougaro, et c\u2019est ainsi que \u00e7a doit \u00eatre. Sans crainte que les auditeurs comparent&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Ce que les gens disent, qu\u2019ils le disent. S\u2019ils aiment, tant mieux, sinon tant pis&nbsp;\u00bb, nous avait-il dit \u00e0 la sortie de<em> A Nougaro<\/em>. \u00ab&nbsp;Je ne chante pas parce que \u00e7a pourrait plaire. Si je ne plais pas \u00e0 moi-m\u00eame, comment pourrais-je vous plaire \u00e0 vous&nbsp;? Aujourd\u2019hui, surtout dans le jazz vocal, il y a une tendance \u00e0 vouloir plaire. Et pourtant, il faut faire ce qu\u2019on entend dans son \u00e2me.&nbsp;\u00bb Et c\u2019est bien cette \u00e2me qui parcourt tout cet album autour des musiques de Michel Legrand, Richard Galliano, Ray Leman, Maurice Datin, Dave Brubeck, Nat Adderley, etc. et des paroles de Nougaro.
